You can rent the storage unit for as long as you need. Rentals are billed on a monthly basis, and the agreement will renew automatically each month unless you cancel.
We service both residential and business customers. Most of our residential customers use the units for temporary storage or moving, while businesses like renovators, contractors, and apartment complexes frequently utilize our services.
No. You are responsible for insuring items stored in the unit. Packman Mobile Storage does not insure contents and is not liable for damage or loss. Check with your homeowners, renters, or business policy about off-premises coverage.
Do not store hazardous materials, explosives, flammable substances, fuels, chemicals, perishable goods, live animals, or illegal items. For high-value items, we recommend proper insurance coverage.
Yes. Schedule access daily 7 am to 9 pm, or request redelivery.
Pricing
- On-site storage: $149/mo (first month $99) + Delivery & Pickup Fee $200
- Off-site storage: $199/mo (first month $149) + Delivery & Pickup Fee $400
- Portable moving: $149/mo + Delivery & Pickup Fee $300
Prepay and save: 25% (3 months) or 35% (6 months).
Distance: includes up to 20 miles each way; $3 per mile after.
Yes. One month minimum. After that, continue month-to-month with no long-term contract.
Prepaid plans are billed in one payment; monthly plans bill in advance for each month.
If you need additional handling or relocations of your storage unit, we charge $100 per handling.
If your payment is not received by the due date, you will incur a 15% late fee. If the balance is not paid within 10 days, additional administrative fees may apply, and access to your unit may be restricted.
Contact us to schedule pickup and we’ll collect the container promptly — no extra hauling needed.
Delivery
We deliver throughout Raleigh, Cary, Durham, Apex, and nearby North Carolina communities. View the full service area list.
Deliveries within our Raleigh–Durham service area are usually completed the next business day, subject to availability.
We deliver on a rollback truck. The container rides on low-profile wheels and is rolled off into place for precise positioning.
No, as long as placement is agreed in advance and the area is clear and accessible. If unsure, we recommend being on site.
Placement
Most standard driveways work. Any clear, level, hard surface such as a driveway, parking pad, or job-site pad is ideal. Placement on grass is possible but the weight may leave impressions or cause sinking on soft ground.
Plan for approximately 40 to 45 feet of straight clearance for the truck to position the unit, about 10 feet of width along the approach, and about 10 feet of vertical clearance to avoid low branches and wires.
- Clear vehicles, debris, and low-hanging branches or wires.
- Choose a level, hard surface whenever possible; consider ground-protection boards on new asphalt or lawns.
- Open gates, secure pets, and mark the exact spot for placement.
